NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – Plans to develop a zip line program within parks in southern Ontario’s Niagara region are moving ahead, the Niagara Parks Commission announced Friday.
Agency staff have been given the go-ahead to undertake the next phase of the procurement process, including the development of business plans and site plans, the commission said in a news release.
The preferred developer for the potential project is Niagara Adventure Excursions. Two aerial adventure courses have been proposed for the commission’s Rapidsview and Thompson Point sites, while two zip line locations have been proposed for the Aero Car to Thompson Point and Boat Plaza to Ontario Power Generating plant locations.
A report is due to the commission in the fall.
