LOCKPORT – The success of the Lockport Community Market in its second season has resulted in the Saturday event being extended until Sept. 28. It was supposed to have ended today.
The market, which expects its largest turnout of vendors so far today, will continue to take place each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Canal Street in downtown Lockport.
New vendors interested in participating in the market for the additional weeks should call organizer Heather B. Peck at 434-0212 or email her at lockportmainstreet@verizon.net. Spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
The market committee is also looking for local musicians who would be willing to play for tips during market hours. Today’s musicians include Larry and Angela Hall at 10 a.m., Goodrich & Prohn at 11:30 and Dark Road Duo at 1:30, all in the Canal Street gazebo.
