LOCKPORT – A forum scheduled for tonight for six candidates for Niagara County Legislature was canceled by the sponsor, the Niagara USA Chamber.
Kory Schuler, director of government affairs for the Chamber, said one of the candidates – Democratic challenger Anthony J. Molinaro of the 12th District – had a personal emergency and couldn’t make it to the event, which was supposed to have been held at 7 p.m. in Lockport Town Hall. Two other challengers – David J. Naus of the 11th District and Joshua D. Walker of the 15th District – failed to respond to the invitation, Schuler said. That would have left no one but the incumbents – Anthony J. Nemi of the 11th District, Richard E. Updegrove of the 12th and Michael A. Hill of the 15th – on the dais.
