LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Board of Elections will be open extra hours next week to accommodate those wishing to cast absentee ballots for the Sept. 10 primary election.
The office at 111 Main St., Lockport, normally open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will stay open until 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The office also will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 7.
Those wishing to cast an absentee ballot may fill it out on the spot or take it with them. If the ballot is mailed, it must be postmarked by Sept. 9 to be valid.
