LOCKPORT – The “World Class K-9 Athletes” is a scripted and choreographed show designed to entertain fairgoers with high flying, acrobatic dog performances, several times a day at the Niagara County Fair, Wednesday through Sunday.
Once homeless pups, these dogs have been rescued or adopted from shelters all over the country and then trained to become incredible athletes.
The show will feature canine high jumps and Frisbee catches, in a fun dynamic show. The audience will also get a chance to meet the four-legged stars after the show and learn a few dog-training secrets.
The participants will not only entertain fairgoers, but also educate them on the importance of pet adoption, exercise, nutrition and the special bond between humans and dogs, organizers said.
The free show is suitable for all ages and will be presented near the Milk Bar.
Show times are:
1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m., 3, 5 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and noon and 2 p.m. Sunday.
