LOCKPORT – Music by Jeff Krull and Shawn Duchscherer will highlight the Lockport Community market, open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on Canal Street.
Krull will perform from noon to 1:30 and Duchscherer from 2 to 3, both in the Canal Street gazebo.
The nearby Erie Canal Discovery Center, Church and Ontario streets, also will have a full day of events. Besides a daylong scavenger hunt for kids and an exhibit of art by Lockport artist Manning McCandlish, the center will offer a free bread-making class from 10:30 a.m. to noon, with reservations required by calling 434-0212.
Also, oil painter George Miller will paint a landscape on canvas in the center while the public is invited to watch.
The lineup of market vendors includes three new jewelry makers this week, program manager Heather B. Peck said.
