LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man, originally charged with felony vehicular assault, pleaded guilty this week to a misdemeanor in Niagara County Court.
Daniel W. Lounsbury, 53, of Portage Road, admitted to driving while his ability was impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol, and was scheduled for sentencing June 10 by County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Lounsbury’s vehicle snapped off a utility pole Oct. 11 in the 700 block of 15th Street in the Falls. The auto rolled over, and a passenger was hurt.
Police measured Lounsbury’s blood alcohol content at 0.12 percent and said he had been smoking marijuana.
