LEWISTON – The 2013 fishing season has opened, and two popular fishing spots were opened to the pubic Monday for another season.
The Niagara River shore fishing pier at the base of the New York Power Authority’s Robert Moses Power Plant has opened for the season. The fish cleaning station will also be available as long as temperatures remain above normal.
The pier is open daily, from dawn to dusk, and is admission-free. Parking is available near the pier and at the top of the hill adjacent to the pier access roadway.
The pier near the Upper Mountain Fire Company at the Niagara Reservoir has also opened for the season.
