LOCKPORT – A Wheatfield man pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court Tuesday to a felony count of driving while intoxicated stemming from his March 9 arrest in that town.
Robert F. Banas Jr., 54, of Shawnee Road, said he downed four or five beers before driving that night. He is to be sentenced Oct. 8 by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. Banas, who picked up a previous DWI conviction in 2009 in North Tonawanda, could be sent to prison for as long as four years.
