CHAUTAUQUA – U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will turn his attention from the Constitution to the Declaration of Independence when he speaks at 3:30 p.m. today in the Hall of Philosophy at Chautauqua Institution.
Kennedy, who last visited Chautauqua in 2009, will address this week’s lecture theme, “The Pursuit of Happiness.”
Another member of the high court, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, is scheduled appear at Chautauqua for the main lecture July 29 in the Amphitheater. She will approach next week’s theme, “Crime and Punishment,” by examining how law is portrayed in opera.
