LOCKPORT – William R. Fish, a retired state trooper, has dropped out of the race for Lockport town justice.
Fish said that after he filed his nominating petitions on the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Working Families party lines, he had a talk with his wife, who told him she really didn’t want him to run.
The withdrawal of Fish, who retired from the State Police in May, appears to leave an unopposed run for Councilwoman Cheryl A. Antkowiak, who is the endorsed Republican candidate for justice.
She filed nominating petitions on all six party lines.
