NIAGARA FALLS – Nearly $4,000 worth of electronics were stolen from a tourist group who parked their van near a Buffalo Avenue inn on Memorial Day.
Police said it appeared that entry to the locked van was made by punching out a lock in the rear van door sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday.
A $1,500 Macbook, headphones, an iPad and a $1,700 camera were stolen. Total loss $3,900.
Staff at the inn told police they have 64 cameras attached to their building, but none facing up the hill where the van was parked.
