LOCKPORT – The City of Lockport will begin this year’s yard waste collection schedule Monday, City Clerk Richelle J. Pasceri announced.
City crews will collect yard waste during the first and third full weeks of each month, through September. However, in July and August, there will be pickups only during the first week of the month, Pasceri said.
Acceptable items include tree prunings, brush and hedge trimmings, thatch from raking, old flowers and vegetable plants, leaves and mulch.
The debris must be in a container weighing less than 40 pounds, or in paper bags. No plastic bags will be accepted. Materials must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on a street’s normal trash collection day.
