NIAGARA FALLS – The United Way of Greater Niagara re-elected a slate of officers and presented numerous awards for work on its 2012 campaign Friday at the annual breakfast meeting in Antonio’s Restaurant and Banquet Center.
Re-elected were chairman, Jerald Wolfgang of the Western New York Regional Education Center for Economic Development; vice chairwoman, Michelle T. Bradley, Lockport school superintendent; treasurer, Kathy Muir of Briody Health Care Facility; and secretary, Jeff Eddy of National Grid.
Eddy also was re-elected to a three-year term on the board of directors. Others chosen for the board were Donald Freedman, Ferguson Electric; Robert J. Hagen and Richard Witkowski, retired; Jessie Jesson, United Auto Workers Local 686; and Robert Kazeangin, The Buffalo News.
The award winners included Christ Sposito, Humanitarian Award; Therese Quarantillo, Think Positive … Think United Way Award; Thomas Fisher and Cheryl Larkin, Outstanding Employee Coordinator Award; and Earl A. Frampton, Labor Community Service Award.
Also, Wegmans, Top Campaign Performance Award; FMC Corp., Caring Cup; American Red Cross, Service Cup; Delphi, Most Leadership Givers; Durez and Norampac, Horizon Award; Peter Robinson, Shining Star Award; and United Steel Workers, City of Niagara Falls, President’s Award.
